I have to express my feelings about horrible and strange 15 minutes in drug store( drogerie)
Grrrr! Thank you dear old lady in Walgreens for telling me what color of eye shadow will NOT work with my eyes and dragging me trough half of the store to show me the color options I should use that will go with my eyes color.I KNOW I didn\'t have any make-up on today (except a mascara), but I certainly KNOW how to do my make-up!!!! Too bad I was actually holding a black eye liner ( I know - the cover was blue and so you didn\'t want me to buy it and ruin my face right!?!) And NO, the lipstick will NOT be too dark for me!!! And I am so glad you offered 3 times that you will call my daughter\'s name out loud so everyone can freak out, but I KNEW she was at the greeting cards. But thanks for your concern and telling me that not seeing her \"IT\'S NOT GOOD!\" And finally thank you for suggesting, that just giving her a dinner and than sending her right to bed will be her great punishment for running around the store. If you just made it fu**ing faster and didn\'t question me on every single product I touched, she wouldn\'t have time to run around the store like 10 times. And NO - I didn\'t feel like making a huge scene in the store when I know that she is tired and we just need to GET OUT of there! NO, never again will I use the back register in the cosmetic part of the store. And btw old lady - you DIDN\'T have any make-up on either!!!!purpose of this discussion in English
Hi girls, what is the purpose of this discussion in English? I would like to improve my english skills by talking about my family life etc. Would anyone like to chat with me? (You can also write me an email). Or do anyone know any website with englich chat? ( but no any lovechat etc.:-) since now I have found only this type) many thanks.katerina
Oh, to be 6 again..
A man was sitting on the edge of the bed, observing his wife turning back and forth, looking at herself in the mirror. Since her birthday was not far off he asked what she\'d like to have for her birthday. I\'d like to be six again, she replied, still looking in the mirror. On the morning of her birthday, he arose early, fixed her a nice big bowl of Lucky Charms, and then took her to Six Flags theme park. What a day! He put her on every ride in the park; the Death Slide, the Wall of Fear, the Screaming Monster Roller Coaster, everything there was.Five hours later they staggered out of the theme park. Her head was reeling and her stomach felt upside down.He then took her to a McDonald\'s where he ordered her a Happy Meal with extra fries and a chocolate shake. Then it was off to a movie, popcorn, a soda pop, and her favorite candy, M&M\'s. What a fabulous adventure! Finally she wobbled home with her husband and collapsed into bed exhausted. He leaned over his wife with a big smile and lovingly asked, Well Dear, what was it like being six again?? Her eyes slowly opened and her expression suddenly changed.I meant my dress size, you dumb ass!\"The moral of the story:Even when a man is listening, he is gonna get it wrong.

cardiologist died and was given an elaborate funeral. A huge Heart covered in flowers stood behind the casket during the service.Following the eulogy, the heart opened, and the casket rolled inside. The heart then closed, sealing the doctor in the beautiful heart forever. At that point, one of the mourners burst into laughter. When all eyes stared at him, he said, \"I\'m sorry, I was just thinking of my own funeral........I\'m a gynecologist\". The proctologist fainted.what

Bubbles
My 3 year old daughter was blowing bubbles outside today ( bublifuk) and was very excited. She was very happy when she told me: \" Mama, the bubbles have lots of fun flying high in the sky, they are happy and having fun\"I like how she talks about everything like it\'s a person. And her grammar - sometimes better than mine - starting to be pretty intimidating
Viola - being funny
We went for a rides ( kolotoce) as a family and when we were leaving, Viola insisted that she needs to go to the bathroom. There were only these plastic toilets ( we know them as a toi toi).Terry took her there and it was really messy - you know how you can see everything that people left there before. He cleaned the seat as much as he could, covered the seat with lots of toilet paper and Viola peed. She didn\'t really like the mess. When she finished she seriously and with worried face asked Terry: \"Daddy,did I just pee on garbage?!\"Terry couldn\'t help and had to answer: \"Yes you did sweetheart\"
tea
When I first came to USA, I had no idea about how they call different types of tea.But I assumed that I can just translate whatever we say in Czech.Well, when i ordered a fruit tea, they stared at me and looked really confused.Couple weeks after that I finally got it.They have just 2 types of tea - black tea and herbal tea.Any tea without caffeine is herbal tea - even our great \"ovocny caj\"
Twilight
I´m just reading those books in English - and I have to admitt that they are even more thrilling and exciting than in Czech. I was afraid that I wouldn´t enjoy the reading very much as I saw the films first and then read the Czech versions. I was absolutely mistaken. The Enlish version has totally caught me. I can´t stop reading. And actually - I´m crying a lot more now :))) I highly recommend to those who like love stories and can stand fantasy books.I was wondering myself, why I like this story so much. And finally I come to it - it´s because is all about LOVE. I don´t believe in vampires or werewolves, but I DO believe in love very much and that is probably the reason why this story is so catchy for me. Sorry for writing so long comment but I had to share this :))
Couple of jokes - no - real life ;)
WordsA husband read an article to his wife about how many words women use a day. 30,000 to a man\'s 15,000. The wife replied, \'The reason has to be because we have to repeat everything to men... The husband then turned to his wife and asked, \'What?\'WHO DOES WHAT A man and his wife were having an argument about who should brew the coffee each morning. The wife said, \'You should do it because you get up first, and then we don\'t have to wait as long to get our coffee. The husband said, \'You are in charge of cooking around here and you should do it, because that is your job, and I can just wait for my coffee.\' Wife replies, \'No, you should do it, and besides, it is in the Bible that the man should do the coffee.\' Husband replies, \'I can\'t believe that, show me.\'So she fetched the Bible, and opened the New Testament and showed him at the top of several pages, that it indeed says .... \'HEBREWS\'Holky poradte

Dear mums and dads,I am looking for a friend to spend an afternoon together from time to time. I am a Czech mum with two little boys (3 and 1,5 years old), we live in a village near Sternberk (c. 20 km from Olomouc). I work as a freelance translator so I can say my English is not so bad but a sort of \"text-book English\". Most of the time I spend with my little ones, evenings are usually devoted to my husband or translation jobs. I need someone else to speak with in person! If you´re interested feel free to contact me. E-mail marketa.jirickova@email.cz, telephone 608 614 059. Regards and thanks, Marketa

A woman buys a new wardrobe and the department store sends a serviceman with it to put it together. The serviceman is ready, but just at this moment a tram passes the house and the wardrobe breaks down. The serviceman begins to put the wardrobe together for the second time, but the situation with the tram happens again. As he can´t see any mistake outside, he decides to enter the wardrobe and wait for the next tram to see what is happening. While he is inside, the husband comes home and sees the new wardrobe. He opens it - and there is the man. \"What are you doing here?\" the husband asks. \" I´m sure you will not believe me. I´m waiting for a tram\", the serviceman answers.Vyuka AJ pro maminky a tehotne

How would you translate this word in the best way? :)One of kids stories in TV has name Handy MannyBtw. it is little bit funny, but when Vio is watching cartoons ( animovane pohadky) in the morning - it sometimes feels like I am learning more of it than she is.They explain the meaning of words in one of this stories and I found it very helpful. When I repeat some sounds of the letter, Viola is looking at me really strange.Like mommy are you all OK?!?

today\'s word(s)???
Guys I can not make this anymore. I hear much more than just one new english word every day. But than when I am trying to think of one I could write down for You - I can not remember any of them...that propably means I didn\'t learn any new words. Why is it so hard to remember???I have kind of \"case\" in my brain where are words that I am using. It is pretty hard to let some new word in. I can learn it, but I have to make sure, people around me are really using it or I am shy to say that loud.So the case of word I understand getting bigger, but the case with words, that I am able to say seems to have still the same sizemultilingual family
I'd like to ask you, if you have any experience with multilingual families. I live with my husband in the Czech republic, although none of us is of czech nationality. My nationality is hungarian, but i grew up in Slovakia (Czechoslovakia), so I haven't got a problem with czech language. My husband is Egyptian, so his native language is arabic. We communicate together in english.I'm expecting our first baby, so the thought that entertains me most at the moment is how will I talk to my baby. Do you know any kids that had to cope with three languages at the same time?
I hadn't visite this part for a long time.My brain is being confused by so many new words that I hear all the time. But usually I understand the point of the talking and almost all words.Problem is with "black people"...I have no idea what the hell are they talking aboutMovies are another of my enemy.I believe that the best possible acting is the least possible to understand

Something interesting from babycenter webside
We were talking many times about spoiling baby (mostly newborn to 6 months)on a czech parts of our BOL.I like this american expert answer, exspecially because czech people ( relatives and older people) are still believing that you can spoil your baby and telling you to be careful. I trust much more this american way ( even if not allways), because I could see how much mor sure and good feel all kids in America with parents who are giving tham their trust and love. We - czech grown kids feel very unsure many times, even when we are an adults ( me for example) because parents told us we are not good enough and didn't want to spoil us.So here is the "perfect english" answer from an expert:Should I worry about spoiling my baby?If I lavish love and attention on my baby, will I spoil him?Expert AnswersSandy Bailey, certified family life educator No. Young babies are completely spoil-proof. Your baby needs all the care and attention you can give. Ignore the advice of well-meaning relatives who think babies need to learn independence. Instead, listen to your parental instinct — that inner voice that tells you to comfort your baby when he cries."Spoiled children" have learned to use negative behavior to get what they want. But your baby is too young to purposefully manipulate or annoy you. He cries to communicate his needs, whether they're for a snack, a dry diaper, or a little cuddling with Mom or Dad. When you respond quickly to your baby, you're building his sense of self-worth. You're also establishing a foundation of trust that can last for years to come.If you give your baby prompt attention, he'll feel more secure and less anxious, giving him the courage to explore the world on his own. And once he understands that you take his cries seriously, he'll be less likely to cry for no reason. In the long run, responding quickly to your baby's needs will make him less clingy and demanding, not more.By the time your baby is 6 to 8 months old, he'll be paying close attention to cause and effect — noticing, for instance, that his bowl falls when he drops it from the highchair. He'll also start to see a direct link between his actions and your responses. At this point it's okay to set some limits. If your baby starts crying to get something he doesn't need, hold your ground and give him a hug when he calms down. Similarly, give hugs and praise for good behavior and gently redirect him when he's doing something hazardous. The right blend of love and guidance will eventually help your child understand his place in the world. But for now, your focus should be on giving him as much attention and comfort as you can. No matter how much you give, it's not more than he needs. What is this?

But what more.He got married with 30 years old women and they had baby just like 10 days after us. Terry is going for a breakfast with them every sunday and he is making better friendship with them.Last time they toke 2 more families with which are having 2 years old kids.It is good because it looks like we will have someone around to hang out and what more, they can watch Viola for us if we will want to go out for a dinner or a movie - just two of us. Sure we will do this for them as a payback :-)Terry is just so sad when he is having breakfast with tham, because he feels so lonely when he has to watch people who can have their families around. He said he would wish to have his girls with him and show to whole world how perfect family he has. Isn't he sweet?!?Hi, I´m Petra. I´m pregnat. My day of birth is 15.11.2008. My boyfriend is hockeyist and for season of hockey we live this year in Holland. But I want to breed in Czech Republic. My english is no good for I breed in Holland and I feel safely. So I´m home alone and wait for birth. When will come day D, my boyfriend will come to us and if everything is good, we will leave in 10days after birth to Holland. It will be hard time but it will be better than I and baby will be home ourselves 6 months. Sorry for my mistakes. My english no good but I still learn. It´s good idea with this forum in english

My funny mistake
Here it is.I remember one of my mistake. It was around a lot of people on one party from my job there.I wanted say to one of my colege that he is very "vysoky" and I used the word HIGH. He started laugh, same as other people in the room.I felt so stupid.I corected myself and used the right word tall, but nobody hear it because they were laughing. For sure it was wrong gramm - (people are tall, mountains can be high)But what worse. When they say to someone he is high, they mean someone is "zhuleny" or anything else that has to do something with using drogs.I didn't know it. What a "trapas"

Holidays
Hi, I just want to ask you how was your holiday. We had a great time with our 8-months-old baby. I was really surprised that we were able to do almost everything with him - even going to Prachovské skály was without any problems. So what about your experience?Teaching English in a village
Hi I have got a new student - one of my neighbours. She will come to talk in English but she won´t pay me anything - she will take my boys for a walk Maybe my next student will bring me some eggs instead of money Tell me - isn´t it better to teach at home than to teach at school???
I need to hear your opinion
Hi girls. So argument with my Terry - again. Not that big deal I just said few words how I am sad he didn't make time to say Good night to me in e-mail.I thought it takes him one minute and it would be a big help for me.I wasn't to nice about it, ( I said something that he maybe rather watch a movie tan spend some time on e-mail for me)but why I should be allways nice and say that he is perfect in every way when he is not?....I don't know what to tell him in e-mail.But I have to send you this part of his e-mail.I got angry, because it seems like he is saying I am not doing anything important and he is so busy.I can not believe that he can not see how hard job I am doing here Well, it can be just my subjectiv feeling, so I am asking you for help, for your opinion.Maybe it sounds that bad only for me and You won't see that.Maybe it's just the stupide english.Thank you so much. Here it is:You may be bored and sitting around the house all day waiting for something to do, but I'm the one who is gone most of the day and I get home about three or four hours before I go to sleep every night. That's all the time I have to do laundry, take care of bills, make calls (like to Budget), go shopping, cook, shower, EVERYTHING!!!! I have to do all of that in the little time I have every night and then when I'm done I might get some time to watch a movie, or play my guitar. God, I must be such a terrible person for taking an hour to myself every day. But of course, you're right. If I get tired and fall asleep without writing you an e-mail then it must mean I don't love you. Real smart, Jana.I don't know if I'll call tomorrow. This shit is really making me angry.........................................................So what you thingk? Would it make you angry and sad how it made me???Sometime I wish him to take care of Viola and everything that I have to only for 24hours, how tired he would beSouvisející články
